Alistair Beverley (also known on social media as The LD Physio) will be bringing his one day Learning Disability course to Liverpool. Since graduating from Sheffield Hallam with a BSc Hons in Physiotherapy in 2010, Alistair has worked extensively in the field of LD Physiotherapy. He lectures for both Sheffield Hallam and Coventry Universities and has spoken at multiple conferences. His most recent lecture appearance at the Therapy Live Online conference raised awareness of LD physiotherapy within the mainstream MSK community. In addition to all this Alistair has been the team physio for Special Olympics GP at both the LA and Abu Dhabi World Summer Games. Nobody knows where he finds time for a day job, but he does have one for which he is hugely passionate – clinical lead physio at Portland Colleague in Nottinghamshire.

This is an incredibly important course which all physios who are serious about improving their clinical performance should consider attending. The skills gained on this course will improve every clinical interaction with every patient you will have throughout your career.

“For too many years people with Learning Disabilities have been underserved by mainstream healthcare services, resulting in 1,000s of premature deaths.  The change begins here, with MSK professionals, skilled up to meet the needs of people who have a Learning Disability – leading the way for equitable healthcare.
